The Loctite 680 Retaining Compound is a high-strength, green anaerobic adhesive designed for the permanent bonding of cylindrical fitting parts. It effectively fills gaps and prevents loosening or leakage caused by shock and vibration, ensuring a reliable hold on assemblies that do not require frequent disassembly.
- High-strength formula provides a robust 4,000 psi shear strength to ensure heavy-duty components remain securely in place.
- Anaerobic curing process allows the compound to harden between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air, creating a uniform bond.
- Excellent gap-filling capabilities help restore the fit of worn assemblies and prevent fretting corrosion on shafts and housings.
This retaining compound is ideal for maintenance and repair professionals in industrial and automotive settings who need to secure slip-fit or press-fit parts such as bearings, bushings, and gears.
