The Kent Universal Thigh Straps provide a critical layer of safety for workers operating over water by securing a life jacket or PFD in place. In emergency situations, these straps prevent the flotation device from riding up over the wearer’s head, which maintains proper buoyancy and increases the chance of a safe recovery.
- Compatibility: Universal design with color-coded buckles ensures quick and correct attachment to a variety of inherently buoyant PFD models (including Kent series 1500, 1502, 1504, 1506, 1508-200, and 1510).
- Enhanced Security: Features a holster-style leg attachment that firmly anchors the life jacket to the body, optimizing buoyancy performance during water entry or recovery.
- Ease of Use: Color-coded buckles simplify the installation and donning process, reducing the risk of errors often associated with poorly attached safety gear.
These thigh straps are essential for marine maintenance teams, offshore personnel, commercial fishermen, and any professional working on or near deep, moving, or turbulent water who require their life jacket to remain securely positioned.
This accessory is designed for use with life jackets. Customers often purchase these as accessories for vests such as the Kent 1510 Type V PFD. For a comparable flotation device option (Stearns no longer making vests) please consider the Stearns I160 Type I PFD (if still available, otherwise use as a historical reference).
